I used to hate marketing.
Seriously.
Well, “hate” might be a strong word, but as a care provider marketing wasn’t exactly my forte.
So when I began to market my practice, I tried to learn as much as I could about marketing.
Unfortunately, I also tried to implement everything I was learning (can you say the word OVERWHELM)
At one point, my marketing plan consisted of 21 different strategies to generate referrals.
21!
That’s a lot even for a 50 Million company, let alone a small practice doing about 500K per year.
I was infatuated with wanting to know more and more marketing strategies…(with the hopes I would find the Holy Grail of marketing…sorry, I didn’t find it 🙂
But what I did find was a surefire way to overwhelm the crap out of my team, my marketing assistant and myself.
With all of this effort, you would have thought my referrals would have shot up?
Nope.
I barely generated enough referrals to cover the costs of my addiction to purchasing marketing programs.
It wasn’t until I did this one thing that changed everything.
It helped me reduce my marketing strategies from 21 to 4.
And my referrals quadrupled from 24 to over 100 per month!
