Kerri Bailey, OTR
Born and raised in Alabama, she knew as a teenager that she wanted to be an occupational therapist for children. After spending 5 years working in adult rehabilitation and 14 years working in the public schools, she decided she wanted the freedom and flexibility of owning her own practice. She founded Ability Resources and set out to fulfill her dreams. In 2007 she merged her business with a speech therapy practice and together they formed Child’sPlay Therapy Center. They gradually added more services, offering physical therapy and mental health counseling. They also expanded into 4 clinic locations, in addition to providing services to a large number of area public school systems, with a staff of 80+.
In October of 2020, they sold Child’sPlay Therapy Center and she committed to remain for 3 years as executive director. During this time, she had the opportunity to work not only with the company that she founded, but with 2 other practices under the same ownership umbrella.
Her passion now is to support practice owners and help them remove barriers, achieve their goals, and experience Practice Freedom! Let’s make your practice what you always dreamed it could be!

Sarah Pettyjohn, PT
Sarah founded her private practice in 2009 in the back room of a local gym and scaled it to a team of 25 across three thriving locations through steady, intentional growth. With 23 years in the physical therapy industry, she has seen the profession from every possible angle—from the clinical floor to the CEO’s desk. After a decade and a half of building a legacy, she successfully and profitably exited practice ownership in 2024 and turned her focus toward helping other practice owners achieve that same level of freedom and fulfillment.
As a former client of Practice Freedom U, Sarah experienced firsthand the shift from owner-operator to business leader. She understands the unique weight of balancing the roles of parent, spouse, therapy practitioner, and business owner, and brings that perspective into her coaching. Having lived through seasons of overwhelm and the “bad times,” she works closely with clients to strengthen leadership, develop their teams, and make better decisions so the business can grow without depending on them. She is deeply passionate about the private practice model and the impact it has on local communities, and focuses on helping owners build businesses that support long-term success and a more sustainable, balanced life.
