The Uncommon Survival Skill I Learned from a Buffalo

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:

There’s an old, Indian lore and it, it’s told by the chief, and has been passed down for generations… And I thought it’s appropriate here.

It said: you know when dark clouds start to come, the cows, when they see those dark, ominous clouds… the cows run away.

But, the buffalo, as it’s told, the buffalo, actually moves towards the dark, ominous clouds.

And… What does that have to do with anything that we’re doing right now about buffalos and Native American lore and all that? Because the thought is, the story goes:

Is that because intuitively the buffalo knows that if it moves towards the dark clouds, it will get to the storm faster. And that’s what we’re doing here. We’re moving into the fear, into the uncertainty… Into the storm.

Because if we do that, that we’re gonna be able to get through this faster than if we try to pretend it’s not there–If we try to pretend and get small and and get crunched up and play a scarcity game.

We’re moving into this storm.
