Recently, I was having a beer with some friends who are PT owners. Like good friends do, we got into a lively debate. The question we were wrestling with that afternoon was this:

What is the essential business of being a PT?

“Helping people!”

“Providing a service!”

“Getting people physically healthy so they can [run, walk, play with their kids/grandkids, insert goal here]”

We kept digging deeper, until finally we got to what I think is the REAL answer.

There’s a fundamental business that actually supports all of the actions above and everything you do in your PT practice—no matter your size or your specialty.

In today’s video, I tell you what that business is and show how your ability to practice it—with your patients, your staff and your referral partners—is the path to greater revenue, better efficiency and more personal freedom for you as a business owner.
